Dr. Nathan Cain welcomes all new patients to his Specialty Prosthodontic practice; no referral is required. He also welcomes all referrals from dentists who need to refer their patients to a prosthodontist for care.

Our office is located on the 19th floor in suite 1901 of 805 West Broadway. Our office is wheelchair accessible with handy paid parking on the main floor of our building just off Willow Street. We are also accessible by SkyTrain on the Canada Line as well as a major bus route the 99B stops close by.

We invite you to come and experience the incredible views from our office while Dr. Nathan Cain and his dental team work to make you feel relaxed and comfortable at every appointment. Dr. Cain is focused on providing gentle and caring dentistry as well as educating his patients on their treatment needs and explaining their options. This way they can make an informed decision about their dental care.

Originally from Ontario, Dr. Nathan Cain has been practicing prosthodontics in Vancouver since 2017. After obtaining his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from New York University, Dr. Cain went on to specialize in prosthetic dentistry. Dr. Cain obtained his Certificate in Prosthodontics at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, where he gained extensive knowledge in implant dentistry, digital dentistry and digital impressions, and treatment of complex dental needs. He is certified by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada as a Specialist in Prosthodontics.

Dr. Cain is passionate about dental education and holds a part-time position at The University of British Columbia where he teaches once a week. He is also active in the dental community, participating in several dental study groups and participates in teaching local dentists about dental implants and digital dentistry.

In his spare time, Dr. Cain enjoys spending time with family and friends. A frequent visitor to Vancouver Island, Dr. Cain loves to go camping and staying active. He has recently taken up surfing and as a creative outlet makes his own surfboards!

A Prosthodontist is a specialist that practices Prosthodontics. Prosthodontics is the branch of dentistry, also know as dental prosthetics or prosthetic dentistry, that deals with the replacement of missing teeth and related mouth or jaw structures using artificial devices.

The American Dental Association (ADA) defines it as “the dental specialty about the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth or oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible substitutes.”

A Prosthodontist specializes in the aesthetic (cosmetic) restoration and replacement of teeth. They require an additional three to four years of training after dental school to qualify as a specialist. A Prosthodontist works to restore optimum appearance and function of a patients smile.
